Central Dickens Fellowship Birthday Dinner 2024

The Central Dickens Fellowship celebrated the 212th anniversary of the birthday of Charles Dickens at the Garrick Club, London on Wednesday 7th February 2024. Forty three members attended what turned out to be a very enjoyable evening, beautiful surroundings, delicious food, fine wines and good company - Dickens would have approved! The president, Cathy Waters presided over the function. The toast to the Immortal Memory was proposed by Prof. Jenny Hartley OBE, past president of the Fellowship. Peter Knowles then proposed a toast to the Fellowship which was followed by a response from Paul Graham, until recently HGS of the Fellowship who in turn proposed a toast to the President.

Here are a few pictures to pay tribute to the magnificence of the surroundings and the appreciative diners.
