THE DICKENS BOY THOMAS KENEALLY

Those who attended the 2018 Dickens Fellowship conference will recall that one of the many highlights was a talk by Booker prize-winning novelist, Thomas Keneally AO.  His topic was the lives of two of Dickens's children - Alfred and Edward - after their emigration to Australia. He revealed that his next novel would be based upon their lives. That novel “The Dickens Boy” has now been published in Australia and will be published in the UK in September. It focuses on the life of Edward Bulwer Lytton Dickens-Plorn the tenth and final child of Dickens and Catherine. One for all Dickensians to look out for.
