A Walk in a Workhouse in The Big Issue

Dickens’ essay 'A Walk in a Workhouse’ appeared in 'Household Words’ on 25 May 1850. Following the partnership between the Charles Dickens Museum and the 'Big Issue’ magazine - the magazine produced to assist the homeless - that magazine is reproducing edited versions of some of Dickens’ journalism of a campaigning nature. This coincides with the exhibition 'The Restless Shadow’ currently running at the Museum. The link below will take you to 'A Walk in a Workhouse’.
