The annual wreath-laying ceremony to commemorate the 153rd anniversary of Dickens’s death will take place at 18.00 at the grave in Westminster Abbey on Friday 9th June. As usual, the ceremony will follow Evensong at 17.00. We are delighted that the Dickens Fellowship wreath will be laid by historian, author and broadcaster Tom Holland FRSL. Tom’s works include Dominion (2019), Shadow of the Sword (2012), Persian Fire (2005), and Rubicon (2003)’ and Pax: War and Peace in Rome’s Golden Age (2023). His latest book: Wolf Girl, The Greeks and the Gods - has just been published.
