Recording: ‘How “the genii who rose from the antipodes” rid Mugby Junction of the tyrannous Missus, and inaugurated Anglo-Australian cricket’.

 

The September meeting of the Dickens Fellowship (Central) was hugely successful, combining, as it did, Dickens, cricket and railway catering. A lively discussion followed, on subjects ranging from the accuracy of Dickens's portrayal of cricket to lethal pork pies served on British Rail.
