Carolyn Lambert is an independent scholar.  She was awarded her doctorate by the University of Sussex in 2013.  Publications include

  1. The Meanings of Home in Elizabeth Gaskell’s Fiction (Victorian Secrets: 2013),
  2. For Better, For Worse: Marriage in Victorian Novels by Women (Routledge: 2018), co-edited with Marion Shaw,
  3. Frances Trollope, (Edward Everett Root: 2020) and
  4. Elizabeth Gaskell’s Smaller Stories (Palgrave Macmillan: 2022).

Carolyn is currently Letters Recorder for the Gaskell Society.
